2007 - Kompong Phluk village, Tonle Sap
Fishing
village on stilts on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake.

The
entrance to Chompong Phluk village from the Tonle Sap lake. The village
is close to an hour boat ride from the boat harbor in Chong Khneas.
|

|
These
houses are on close to 20 foot stilts because the were built right next
to the water in the low water level season.
|

|
These houses are
built on higher ground but during the high water level season these
houses will all be surrounded by water and boats will be the only means
of transport.
