14, 2007 - Poipet to Siem Reap, Cambodia by Taxi

The
taxi company in Poipet, just a short ways after the last border
checkpoint (after the casinos). My driver is the guy on the far right
in the dark blue shirt, the guy next to him is a government tourism
official. I paid 1,300 Baht for the trip.

This
was one of the more complete new bridge constructions. There are a lot
of these under construction areas, the whole distance between Poipet
and Siem Reap.

The
driver was supposed to let me stop for photos but although he was a
nice guy most of the time he got real anxious when I stopped him here
and kept telling me that I was finished.
|

This
was my lunch in a small town on the road, the baggettes had some sort
of mistery meat ingredient and the vegetabels you see at the bottom of
the picture. It was actually pretty good and my stomach had no problems
with it.
